The Jackie Robinson Awards Gala took place Monday, March 5th; Nicole Beharie was present along with some of the cast of the film 42, directed by Brian Helgeland. 42 is a film biopic of baseball icon Jackie Robinson, played by Chadwick Boseman (pictured with Beharie above). Beharie will star as Robinson's real life wife Rachel Robinson.
Now that I see Mrs Robinson and Nicole side-by-side, I have to agree Nicole was a good casting choice! They're both petite, good looking, plus they seem to have similar mannerisms...look at the hand placement in the pic below. :)
The film, which also stars Harrison Ford in the role of Branch Rickey, is in pre-production and set to be released next year.
Here are images from the event in which she's pictured with Chadwick Boseman, Rachel Robinson and the cast...I love this classy and demure look...less is more and Nicole is a perfect example of that. She's gorgeous without trying too hard.
