Cicala Filmworks' My Last Day Without You, stars Ken Duken and Nicole Beharie and is directed by Stefan Shaeffer. It will be screening for buyers/distributors at Cannes on May 14th. The film will premiere at the Brooklyn Film Festival on June 11th and 12th of this year.
MLDWY is about German businessman Niklas (Ken Duken), who goes on a trip to Brooklyn to conduct a company downsize and falls in love with singer-songwriter Leticia (Nicole Beharie).
The film takes place during the 11 hours of his visit and needless to say it looks like a charming treat of a movie. It will also feature 5 songs performed by Beharie. From what I've heard so far in the trailer, her voice and music sound amazing.
